The bell rings, ushering in a new academic year. Grab your wand and get ready for hijinks in this magical-school take on the 1400 system where you and your friends play the role of spellcasting students just trying to make it through the term. Hang out with classmates, solve magical mysteries, and learn more about yourself as you grow into fully fledged witches and wizards.

1400 Witchcraft and Wizardry is a stand-alone table-top RPG. The rules are short and easy to learn and the whole game can fit on a single sheet of paper. It can also be combined with the 1400 Lo-Fi Hi-Fantasy game series. It is inspired by magical-school media, such as The Worst Witch, The Owl House, Strixhaven, and, I guess, if you must, Harry Potter. The game aims to be simple to pick up and play quickly, but also easy enough to modify to fit your vision of what the magical-school genre means to you.

1400 Witchcraft and Wizardry presents players with a new take on the standard 1400/24XX skill and spellcasting rules, giving them lots of options to create their student witch or wizard, and tackle problems in creative ways. Whether they are tracking a monster through the school or navigating the emotional minefield of being a kid, the freeform approach to spellcasting allows players to express themselves and think outside the box.

Additionally, the Game Master section includes tables for creating the school and its houses, populating it with faculty and other students, and filling the school year with events and problems for the players to navigate.

The core system is based on the 24XX SRD by Jason Tocci.

I'm a simple man. I see Unknown Dungeon publish a new 1400, I buy. My kids love playing 1400 with me. It's the perfect level of complexity for young children. This is going to be a hit for sure.
